While reviewing the website, I realized that the portal site has been up for more than ten years. I also realized that something was missing. How did this all get here. Here's the story as I know it:

Cheryl Boswell is a graphic designer. She helped Mike Rodriquez (2/1 USMC) put up a website. Shortly after that Gordon Boswell (Delta 1/1, 1st Recon) put up his own website, with Cheryl doing the graphics. This was around 1997, just as the web was taking off. Boz is a friend of Ed Yates (Charlie 1/1) and suggested he put up a site. All this was at their own expense and them doing the work.

Since then the 1/1 web presence has grown to this portal site and a site for each company, run by someone from that company.

The web presence and reunions have grown from what Cheryl and Gordon started. These things have allowed us to connect, finding old friends and making new ones who walked the same ground. We all know the joy and emotion of these connections. The connections allow us to make sense of, or at least reconcile some crazy things that we did a long time ago. We still have guys coming in through the wire for the first time since Viet Nam.
