How can you assist to make a reunion successful The ton of work necessary to put on a good reunion is done by the reunion committee, who are all volunteers. You can help us in many ways: 1) Get your registration and make your reservations at the hotel early. For planning and negotiating purposes this helps tremendously. Arranging for the right amount of buses, meals, and shirts requires a lot of lead time. At the latest try to get it all done at least 3 months before the reunion. The hotel registration costs nothing so as early as possible for this is a real help. It avoids running out of rooms. 2) Be on time for the events. 3) We will be glad to accommodate people with special needs (wheel chairs etc.). Please get your registration in early and mark it with a red marker so we do not miss it. 4) Special requests like “I want to drive my own car” etc. cannot be honored. Most places we attend have security restrictions and handle us as a group. This is a group function. These type of requests are very difficult and requires a lot of time for exceptions. Again the reunion committee is a volunteer group. 5) Dinner is a coat and tie event. There are no exceptions. We will have young Marines who are giving us their time to support us. They are wearing Dress uniforms. We will show them, our guests and each other the respect of dressing properly. 6) Enjoy the program! |
