The US Army Caisson Team and the Riderless Mount was there. The Marines from 8th & I showed up in force with the Corps Battle Colors, The Band, two Platoons with fixed bayonets, and a very sharp firing detail. All was commanded by the Barracks Commander who was a full Colonel. Another full Colonel was in attendance and he presented the Flag to Mrs. Bell. It most appropriate that the Battle Colors were present as Colonel Bell was present at the actions that many were awarded for. |
